Is everybody refreshed and recharged for 2019? Come to our pack build-it day for the Pinewood Derby this Sunday, January 6, from noon to 2:00 pm. If you have never built a Pinewood Derby car before, then this is something you should attend. We will have experienced scouters on hand who have built cars before who will be able to share tips.

Calling all chili cooks!

Posted on Nov 30 2018 - 7:10pm

Calling all chili cooks! The December 13th pack meeting at the VFW will be a chili cookoff and Christmas card craft night. Since we expect cooler weather (relatively, this is still Texas), we will warm up with some chili! We have 12 spots for chili cooks to bring their best bowl of red for our cookoff. This will be a fundraiser for our pack, so we will sell the chili and fixins for $5 each. Your donation lets you sample all the entries.

Sign up to sell coffee!

Posted on Nov 16 2018 - 12:25pm
Thank you to everybody who has signed up to take a slot to sell coffee at Lowe's in Bee Cave. We still have spots left for this weekend and next. Please consider taking one.

It's almost time to sell coffee!

Posted on Nov 9 2018 - 5:58pm

It is that time of the year again for our Annual Coffee Fundraiser:) First off, our pack does not sell popcorn. We sell coffee - delicious and local! Selling local coffee supports our community as well as our pack. Summer Moon was even gracious enough to design custom labels for us! We will start on Saturday, November 17. All scouts are expected to take part in selling as a duty to the pack. It is a life skill that the kids need to learn for how to meet a person, look them in the eyes, and talk them. It can be a shift or selling on your own as long as you meet the minimum goal of selling 5 bags. If you work a shift, you will easily sell about 20 bags. You do not have to go door to door or sell at a parent's workplace, but you can if you want to do so. Pre-sales are now complete, so watch your email for a Signup Genius link to sign up for a shift at Lowe's in Bee Cave. All Scouts who sell at least ten bags will have their evening paid for at our March outing for laser tag, bowling, and pizza at High Five! Plus, there will be first, second, and third place prizes for the top sellers.

Rocket Day

Posted on Nov 4 2018 - 8:40pm
Pack 445,

We will be launching model rockets as our November pack activity on Saturday, November 10th, at 9:00 am in the parking lot of Lake Hills Church. Come to rocket day with your rocket already built. You cannot build it on-site. Please make sure you build your rocket far enough in advance. It will need time for the glue to dry. Building it the night before will not really cut it. The glue needs to dry at least 24 hours. Trust me on this! There was sadness last year on a few! We are providing the engines on launch day.
